The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha Polls<\/a> as well as assembly elections for some states<\/a> on March 16.

According to reports, the Lok Sabha Elections are likely to be held in seven phases. The poll body will also announce dates for assembly elections in Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, TMC MPs Arjun Singh and Dibyendu Adhikari joined the BJP on Friday in Delhi. Dibyendu Adhikari is the brother of West Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari.
