Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked a bunch of people to step down from a tower at a rally in Andhra Pradesh. He said, "Your life is precious to us, please step down." On a lighter note, the PM said they could come down as the media had already captured their purported stunts on camera.

Addressing a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election meeting at Boppudi village in Palnadu district, the PM, Chandrababu Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party, and Pawan Kalyan shared the stage for a historic rally in the southern state. It is the first NDA rally in poll-bound Andhra Pradesh, which is also holding its 175-member Assembly elections concurrently with the Lok Sabha.

The announcement came in a detailed press conference held by the Election Commission of India on Saturday.

On March 11, the NDA partners finalised their seat-sharing formula for the general and Assembly elections following a marathon discussion held at former Andhra Chief Minister Naidu's residence in Undavalli. It was later announced that the BJP would contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats, while the TDP would fight in 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats. Pawan Kalyan's JanaSena Party will contest two Lok Sabha and 21 assembly seats.

With a total of 175 assembly seats, a party is required to secure a minimum of 88 seats to prove a majority.
